Tuition fees cover lectures, course materials, excursions, as well as local study tours. Some course fees may be subjected to changes, or be higher because they involve external consultants/facilitators who are specialized in specific disciplines and whose fees are particularly high. The center is fully subscribed to the principles of adult leaning. The course programmes are conducted by highly qualified and experienced consultants from the center as well as individuals in consultations from the highest institutions of learning, research centers and private sector in South Africa, SADC countries, COMESA and ECOWAS countries as well as associate consultants from other parts of the world.
The MTDC training approach is based on adult learning principles. It encourages learner autonomy and empowerment in that individuals and groups are given assignments, exercises and learning experiences which involve problem solving and self-direction. Most of the time, the learning is holistic, using all the senses of sight, hearing, touch, thought, creativity and intuition, leading to a deeper, longer lasting, achievement-oriented learning. The result is that the MTDC learning environment becomes a source of intellectual challenges, and self-propellant discipline.
